Teamwork & Leadership Thursday

By prioritizing teamwork and leadership on Thursdays, you can enhance team cohesion, maintain momentum, and ensure that your team is aligned with both immediate tasks and long-term goals. This proactive approach not only improves productivity but also fosters a positive and innovative work environment.

“COMMUNICATE YOUR VISION CLEARLY TO YOUR TEAM”

What exactly does that look like? Here are my top 3 tips!

.1. Use the "Why, What, How" Framework: WHY – Start by explaining the purpose behind your vision (We’re solving X problem because…). WHAT – Clearly define the goal (Our product will help customers by…). HOW – Outline the steps to achieve it (We’ll get there by focusing on…).

Instead of saying, "We need to sell more," say, "Our vision is to make sustainable products accessible (Why), so we’re launching a new eco-friendly line (What) by optimizing production and marketing (How)."

.2. Make It Visual & Tangible: Use simple visuals (sketches, mockups, or roadmaps) to show what success looks like. Show a prototype or sample of the product to make the vision feel real when possible. Share customer stories or data to reinforce why the vision matters.

.3. Repeat & Reinforce Regularly: People remember things better with repetition. Mention the vision in team meetings ("Remember, our goal is…"), emails ("This task aligns with our vision because…"), one-on-one check-ins ("How does your work contribute to…?"), and celebrate small wins that move the team closer to the vision.
