What really upsets me is, of course, the situation—that we could lose someone who is controversial, yes, but also someone who has made really solid points.

The reality is that what truly disturbs me is the sense that we are losing the very thin line of fabric between democracy and chaos. If people have different viewpoints, those should be talked about, but violence should never be the response. We as Americans should realize that we are here, in this absolutely beautiful country, because we are free to speak our minds. We have the rights to do so.

So, I’m praying for him. I hope you are too, whether you’re on the left or the right. He is a person with a family, with children, and with so much that he has contributed to the world. It’s not right that someone would want to take his life just because of a different opinion.
